Dance and Choreography.
My journey with dance encompasses a variety of, sometimes conflicting, trajectories, from working commercially on TV, to being a part of the freelance contemporary dance field. Owing to my diverse background and many interests, my work is characterized by its cross-disciplinary approach in which I use my experience with photography, film, philosophy, programming, and a multitude of dance genres to explore themes such as identity, representation and transformation.
Attention
An exploration of how the sequencing and layering of sound and movement creates points of focus in space and time, an attempt to uncover the logic that makes some layers of our experience stand out while leaving others in the dark.
Inflicting Hot Blood
An exploration of how different states of perception affect movement qualities, performed as a fusion between a dance piece and a presentation.
Staffanhullan
An improvisatorial, site-specific dance film, created through a re-exploration of my home town and some of its sites most dear to my heart.
